About My Blog

This started because my friends in my Muslim converts group would come over every Friday evening. Of course, a gathering just isn’t a gathering without food, so I would have fun every week trying to come up with something new that was halal, yummy, and easy to prepare. Thanks goes especially to my friend, Azi, who loves to take pictures of the result, and who encouraged me to document the recipes.

About Me

I’m an American who converted to Islam while living in Bangkok, Thailand in 2011. By day, I’m a massage therapist. I’m also the Mom of a finicky but affectionate son and loving husband who tries pretty much everything I make. My creative endeavors include poetry as well as cooking.
